Jury Instructions
IF YOU RECEIVE A CALL RE: JURY SERVICE AND THEY ASK FOR MONEY DO NOT MAKE ANY PAYMENTS TO THEM.  PLEASE NOTIFY LAW ENFORCEMENT AND THE CLERK'S OFFICE.

Benton County uses a "call-in" system to advise jurors when they will be required to report. You must call each weekend in your term until you are excused from service.  Do not report on the first day of your term without calling in as instructed.

Please call 736-3055 for Kennewick or 786-5475 for Prosser after 6:00 P.M on Friday prior to your possible reporting date that fall in your designated term. You will report for duty on the date as instructed by the automated IVR messaging system.  If you are not instructed to report please call again the following Friday to complete your two week term. Jurors are identified by their "Candidate Number" printed on the stub of their Jury Summons, along with an identification barcode. Listen carefully to the entire recording for your required report date and time. **AFTER ENTERING YOUR CANDIDATE ID NUMBER AND ZIP CODE, PLEASE PRESS OPTION 2 AND OPTION 2 AGAIN, FOR YOUR REPORTING DATE AND TIME**  You may also visit the  Jury Reporting Schedule link to determine if you are required to report.  Candidate ID numbers are listed in numerical order.  There may be more than one reporting time so please scroll down the Jury Reporting Schedule page to check your reporting status.  If your candidate ID number is not listed, you are not scheduled to report.

If the line is busy or if the recording states "We do not subscribe to this program" please try again.  If the equipment malfunctions, a message for jurors will be placed on the local radio news.

You will be asked to serve on only one trial. Trials are usually one to three days in duration.

Please dress appropriately. Do not bring children when reporting for jury duty.
