UPDATE REGARDING PASSPORT APPLICATIONS
THE KENNEWICK CLERK'S OFFICE LOCATED AT THE BENTON COUNTY JUSTICE CENTER WILL BEGIN ACCEPTING PASSPORT APPLICATIONS ON
OCTOBER 1, 2020

THE PROSSER CLERK'S OFFICE WILL NOT RESUME ACCEPTING PASSPORT APPLICATIONS AS THE COURTHOUSE IN PROSSER REMAINS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC

 The Benton County Clerk's Office (Kennewick Office) will resume regular business hours on
Tuesday, May 5, 2020
Regular Business Hours:
Monday-Friday
8:00-12:00
1:00-4:00
Closed from 12:00-1:00

The Benton County Clerk's Office in Prosser is closed to the public currently.  
 We do not have a re-opening date at this time.

The acceptance of passport applications is still suspended until further notice due 
to the COVID-19 emergency in Washington State.

We apologize for this inconvenience and ask for your continued understanding
in this unexpected crisis we are all experiencing.

We now have a public access terminal located on the 1st floor of the Justice Center to allow viewing of court documents filed in Superior Court files.  Documents that are accessible are those that are Non-Confidential.  Case number is required to access the documents.  Instructions on how to access documents are available at the terminal.


   NOW AVAILABLE FOR USE "SECURE ATTORNEY DROP BOX"
The drop box is located near the jury elevator by the Superior Court Clerk's Office
Attorneys may file documents or new cases in this box if you do not need immediate assistance by office staff
Documents placed in the drop box after 4:00 pm will be filed the next judicial day

Superior Court Fee Schedule Revision Effective July 24, 2015

Substitute Senate Bill 5631, in part, increases the current surcharge on domestic cases (dissolution, legal separation, and declaration concerning the validity of marriage) to $54.00. This represents an increase of $24.00 to this surcharge, and brings the total, initial filing fee for these actions to $314.00. The surcharge increase portion of this legislation modifies RCW 36.18.016(2)(b).
