Mission Statement:
The mission of Benton County Canine Shelter is to give shelter to the displaced and abandoned, and safety to the abused and neglected dogs in the unincorporated areas of Benton County. We strive to educate the community on the importance of responsible pet ownership and care, and believe that all dogs deserve to have a safe and caring environment before going to their forever families.

Vision Statement:
Benton County Canine Shelter believes that all dogs should be treated with compassion and represented with honesty. We work with the community and rescue organizations on behalf of the dogs to give them a second chance in finding forever families.

We strive to promote public awareness and provide education to the community concerning the importance of spaying and neutering to prevent overpopulation. We utilize the newest available technology to reunite lost pets with owners, identify breeds and characteristics, and to advertise the availability of our adoptable dogs.

Benton County Canine Shelter only deals with stray and/or found dogs. We do not accept owner-surrenders. Vicious animal complaints and/or welfare checks on animals should be directed to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office. They can be reached 24/7 at 509-628-0333 (non-emergency dispatch).
