Coming to Jail

Whether reporting to jail voluntarily to serve time as sentenced by the court or involuntarily at the direction of a law enforcement officer our inmates can expect to be treated fairly and with respect.  We are committed to providing a safe correctional environment for all inmates under our care.

Individuals committing themselves to serve a court ordered sentence or turning themselves in on outstanding warrants during normal business hours should do so in the lobby of the main jail entrance.  If the jail lobby is closed there is an after hours entrance to the left of the main entrance, simply push the button for assistance.

Upon admittance to the jail all inmates are searched and their property is inventoried and placed into storage.  If possible, items of value should be left at home and not brought to jail.  Once searched inmates are housed in pre-classification holding units until their individual histories can be evaluated and they are classified and moved to an appropriate housing unit.
