Storing, dumping and/or placing discarded tires on your property can be defined as “Solid Waste” in accordance with the following Benton County Code:

Benton County Code 11.03.010 (168) Solid Waste- means all putrescible and non-putrescible solid and semisolid wastes, including but not limited to garbage, rubbish, ashes, industrial wastes, swill, demolition and construction wastes, abandoned vehicles, or parts thereof, and discarded commodities. This includes all liquid, solid and semisolid materials which are not the primary products of public, private, industrial, commercial, mining, and agricultural operations. Solid waste includes but is not limited to wood waste, dangerous waste, and problem wastes. Agricultural wastes are exempt from this definition provided the wastes are limited to manures and crop residues returned to the soil at agronomic (fertilizer) rates.

Maintaining solid waste can result in $500.00 civil citations, with a second similar offense resulting in criminal misdemeanor charges.
