Hours of Operation:
We are open the following hours, unless alternate arrangements are made with Canine Shelter staff:
Monday-Friday: Noon - 5 PM
Saturday-Sunday: CLOSED

Messages may be left before or after office hours and will be returned at our earliest convenience. In the event of an emergency, please call 9-1-1.

If you are interested in volunteering at our facility, please contact us or fill out a  volunteer application today! Mail your completed application to us at the address listed above or drop it off during our office hours.

Benton County Canine Control only deals with stray and/or found dogs. Vicious animal complaints and/or welfare checks on animals are handled by the Benton County Sheriff’s Department. Their contact number is: 509.628.0333 - 24 hour dispatch.

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Benton County Canine Control Facility is to balance the health and safety needs of people and dogs within the unincorporated areas of Benton County.  We achieve our mission by protecting citizens from dangers and hazards of uncontrollable dogs and promoting responsible pet ownership.
