NOTICE OF ADOPTION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to RCW 36.70A.290 that the Board of County Commissioners of Benton County Washington did adopt on July 10, 2018, Ordinance 608 & Resolution 2018-460, allowing the Benton County Sheriff and his or her authorized deputies to enforce the marijuana regulations set forth in Ordinance 606.  Copies of the above documents are available at the link above. They also may be obtained at no charge from the Benton County Planning Department, 1002 Dudley Avenue, P.O. Box 910, Prosser WA. 99350.  Please call 736-3086 (Tri-Cities) or 786-5612 (Prosser).

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following applications will be considered by the Benton County Hearings Examiner on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Planning Annex Hearing Room, 1002 Dudley Avenue, Prosser WA 99350. 

VAR 2018-002 – The applicants, Larry & Linda Lockrem, are requesting a 20’ variance of the required 25’ setback from the 60’ access easement (AF 703394) on lot 3 of short plat 2625 going through the southern third of the property, and a 10’ variance of the required 25’ setback from the 60’ access easement (AF 88-3374) beginning at the southeastern corner of lot 3 of short plat 2625. The date of the written determination of completeness on this action is May 31, 2018.  The site is located on South Valley Vista PR SE, Kennewick.  

CUP 2018-006 – The applicants, Melissa Reasoner/BNB Kennels, are requesting to operate an existing commercial boarding kennel with up to 70 dogs on site at one time. The date of the written determination of completeness on this action is June 18, 2018.  The site is located at 210211 East SR 397, Kennewick. 

Please be aware, the hearing for August has been moved to August 27th, 2018.

The Planning Commission meeting for July 10, 2018 has been cancelled due to the lack of agenda items. 

The next regularly scheduled meeting will be August 14, 2018 at 6 p.m. in the Planning Annex Hearing Room at 1002 Dudley Avenue in Prosser.

 

 

PLANNING AGENDA ITEMS BEFORE THE
BENTON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS


NOTICE IS GIVEN that an ordinance amendment to BCC 11.54 as recommended by the Planning Commission will be considered by the Board of County Commissioners at a public hearing on July 10, 2018 at 9:00 a.m., in the Commissioners' Meeting Room, Third Floor, Courthouse, Prosser WA 99350.  This amendment will allow the Benton County Sheriff and his or her authorized deputies to enforce the marijuana regulations set forth in Ordinance 606.  

  


BOUNDARY REVIEW BOARD

If needed, the Boundary Review Board meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at 1002 Dudley Avenue in Prosser.  More information about the Boundary Review Board can be found here
