Request for Proposals: Juvenile Detention Medical Services

The Benton-Franklin Counties Juvenile Justice Center (BFJJC) is requesting proposals from medical firms, agencies, and/or companies to provide a medical services program in the BFJJC Detention Center.

Services shall be provided by a Registered Nurse (RN) and shall include:

  1. Nursing on-site on weekdays for approximately 6 hours per day, 30 hours per week with schedule determined in consultation with the Detention Manager.
  2. Assessment of juveniles with medical complaints, including intake assessment and administration/delivery of scheduled medication doses.
  3. Off-site consultation via telephone and/or video conferencing as requested outside of normal on-site hours.
  4. Coordination of juvenile transfer including clinical summary and appropriate transport arrangements.
  5. Development of medication administration plans, on physician's order, in consultation with the juvenile's treating provider or health care officer (if no treating provider).
  6. Documentation of all clinical activities.
  7. Nursing supervision to be performed as needed.
  8. Medical supervision of nursing services.
